The biggest swap-meet of sneaker heat and gear is back January 9th, 2010. After a successful 2009 showing, Sneaker Con is hosting another convention for NYC and Tri-State shoeheads to trade with their fellow man or to show off their latest digs. Also in attendance will be thirty vendors with serious kicks for you to get your hands on. This year’s crowd rolled over a thousand deep, and this upcoming show is poised to surpass that number and pack the house. Come prepared and dressed to impress, because this convention is not for the meek.
 
On the Strength of Quagmaire!
Take a look at the latest Dunk High SB. It comes with a navy/red suede upper and a yellow stars all-over embroidery. The stars have a certain hand made look to themselves, which we like. The shoe is inspired by the Glen Quagmire character from Family Guy. The white/gum sole is a nice finish.

Killer Dude!
A sneak peek into Nike’s 2009 Fall/Winter lineup reveals the companies aim for low key colorways. Much more subtle than seasons past, the Air Max line sees a majority of 2-3 color schemes on most models with some vibrant colored kicks sprinkled in. Safari prints are present once again alongside buttery suede toes and some Triax releases.

Marking their 20th anniversary of Nike ACG, the sportswear giant celebrates with a hybrid spin on their classic Terminator basketball sneaker. Along with a complete ACG re-tooling, the kicks feature a more rugged exterior implementing a rubber toe alongside Nike’s Clima-Fit technology and Neoprene water resistant lightweight panels. Look for these to soon become available at select Nike stockists worldwide.
