French Riviera shit…

Jean Paul Gaultier recently combined with fellow French label Guy de Jean to decorate several of their coveted umbrellas. Having created a number of designs, the obvious stand out work features Gaultier’s signature stripes, familiarly placed resulting in a restrained, modern look. Colored of course in an ivory and navy combination, this particular edition is available in either a hook handle or a more portable version. Fans can pick up all models now from Opening Ceremony.

New Balance and Boston boutique Concepts on the 999 running sneaker, entitled “The Kennedy”.

“Frank Rivera at Concepts in Cambridge has given us the scoop on his nifty New Balance 999s, which were designed to reflect President John F. Kennedy’s love for New England’s sailing history. Trimmed in classical red, white and blue (with tan highlights), there’s a host of tiny details including nylon paneling and CNCPTS flag logos, and the shoes come with a mesh bag that should be ideal to drain anything that tips overboard. “
